Process Overview
- Review Mission, Vision, and Values Statements and revise and refine as appropriate.
- Assess the current situation by gathering and analyzing information from both internal and external sources, relative to the organization and the environment in which it operates.
- Discuss and build agreement about strategic priorities.
- Draft the Strategic Plan.
- Adopt the plan, along with protocols for monitoring and evaluating it.
Anticipated Outcomes
Organization leaders have a plan by which to guide their actions pertinent to program, resource development, administration, and structure & governance for the next several years (usually two to four). Moreover, there is enhanced clarity about mission, vision, and values.
