The Fifth Seed Thought: Embody a vision of the common good.
-- Robert Quinn
While every project is unique, most follow a general pattern with respect to the method employed.
- A signed Service Agreement between client and consultant outlines the aim and general course of the project and signals its commencement.
- The consultant does background study, as appropriate. (For example, board officers are interviewed in advance of a board training conference.)
- The consultant collates the data collected in the background study and prepares an analysis of it.
- Client and consultant review the information gathered, along with the consultant’s analysis and preliminary recommendations.
- Client and consultant review options for implementation and decide on an agenda.
- Implementation of the project proceeds.
- Client and consultant review and evaluate the project at appropriate intervals, making adjustments in the plan as deemed prudent.
