Process Overview
- Survey all current resource development policies, practices, and results.
- Prepare an assessment of the findings along with general recommendations relative to each segment of the development cycle: cultivation – solicitation – recognition – tracking.
- Prepare customized protocols pertaining to each major development function component, including: annual giving, special appeals, planned giving, donor relations, and community/public relations.
- Train board and staff members in the protocols.
- Monitor implementation of the protocols and revise as appropriate.
Anticipated Outcomes
Building upon a comprehensive survey and assessment of current resource development practices, procedures, and results, organization leaders possess a blueprint for a comprehensive resource development function.
